Assistant Director of Pipeline Growth

DEPARTMENT PURPOSE: Pipeline Growth & Readiness exists to create a wide and deep pool of highly engaged donors to programs and units across OSU, by helping donors discover their philanthropic passions and implementing strategic tactics and partnerships to aid donors in realizing their full philanthropic potential.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: This role serves the Pipeline Growth & Readiness Team by developing and executing day of giving, crowdfunding, student philanthropy and digital ambassador strategy by collaborating with internal and campus partners to increase short-term and long-term support for OSU

KEY AREAS OF FOCUS:Days of Giving - 25%

  • Participate in comprehensive strategic planning for PGR, with a focus on implementing effective digital giving strategies.
  • Serve as a primary team member of OSUF's two giving days, Cowboys United and Give Orange, leading logistics and informing strategy decisions.
  • Build strategy and oversee execution of digital ambassador programs for both Cowboys United and Give Orange.

Crowdfunding-50%
  • Lead and execute crowdfunding strategy for PhilanthroPete, including building effective campus partnerships, fostering a culture of philanthropy with students, faculty/staff, parents, alumni, and friends.
  • Provide robust training to all project champions selected to raise funds through PhilanthroPete
  • In partnership with the Donor Relations Team, provide direction and logistical support for gift stewardship to project champions.
  • Track outcomes and PhilanthroPete project performance through analysis and reporting to identify trends and inform decision making.


OSUF Student Foundation Advisor & Student Philanthropy Lead-25%
  • Serve as the primary Student Foundation advisor, spearheading student fundraising and engagement efforts in creating a culture of philanthropy.
  • Ensure all Student Foundation efforts follow OSUF confidentiality policies and within its legal parameters.

Other duties as assigned.

JOB COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:Education & Certifications-
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, non-profit management, or a related field.

Experience-
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects at a time.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a marketing, donor/customer service, or fundraising role.
  • Knowledge of higher-ed fundraising best practices, particularly in digital channels, is preferred.
  • Experience using ScaleFunder, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CRM, or other similar fundraising tools is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must use a computer terminal and view a computer screen for extended periods of time. Must talk in person or by phone (frequently and sometimes for extended periods) to people on campus and across the country. Must constantly use visual acuity to check printed and designed materials of various types. Must be able to navigate within the OSU Foundation. Typical office working conditions.
